Just as you have high standards for whom you allow to work with your dog, Sarah has high standards for her clients. She is most successful with clients who take responsibility for working proactively and positively toward success.

Private lessons are the appropriate starting place for pets with specific behavior challenges, including fear and aggression, as well as for owners wanting to learn on their own schedule or with ample individual attention.

Private coaching sessions take place in your home where we work one-on-one with you and your dog. You’ll learn to understand your dog’s behavior and body language, and how to effectively manage and teach your dog the skills they need to succeed. We’ll develop a customized training plan, practice essential skills, and set training goals specific to your dog’s needs and abilities.

Sarah also offers in-home "day training," where she trains your dog for three sessions a week at your home and then transfer the skills to you in a fourth session. The minimum requirement for this option is two weeks.

I can help with:

Foundation behaviors and skills

Manners at home

Polite greetings with people and dogs

Coming when called

Building confidence and comfort for fearful and reactive dogs

Cooperative care for handling, grooming, and vet care

I will train your puppy while you work!

Day training is ideal for puppies and adult dogs who need to build basic foundation skills. It’s designed to offer ease and convenience for individuals and families with busy schedules or those who require extra assistance with training.

Each week, I will come to your home and work with your dog one-on-one for three consecutive days. On the fourth day, we’ll meet to go over what your dog learned that week and how to maintain it.

Before starting the program, we’ll meet to discuss your individual dog’s needs and create a personalized day training plan.

Follow up sessions can be made after we have a consult and you decide what will work best for you and your dog. In these sessions, I work one on one with you in your home or out in the world to make observations and build strong behaviors.

Virtual coaching is just as effective as in-person training, and comes with the added benefit of all sessions being recorded. Virtual training sessions can be especially helpful for shy or fearful dogs.

Benefits of Virtual Coaching:

  1. Allows you to be the main trainer for your dog from the very beginning!
  2. Your dog can fully focus on you during the training with less distractions
  3. Less stressful for dogs with stranger danger, fear/anxiety, or aggression issues (especially when first starting a new training program)

Online learning is a tried-and-true option. Just like many others educate themselves online, learning how to train your dog is no different!

What You'll Need:

  1. A laptop, tablet, or smart phone with working internet and webcam
  2. Download the video chat app, Zoom. It's free!
